First Love
Are you satisfied with God? Do you fear Him above all else? Pastor Shane Farmer teaches from Genesis 12 with the life of Abraham as a prime example of somone whose first love is God.
Hebrews 11:10 "...he was looking for the city which has foundations, whose architect and builder is God."
During the reign of Israel's king Ahab, the prophet Micah had an unwavering faithfulness to the word of God, while King Ahab literally had a hatred for what God had to say. We can say that we love God and we can say that God is a priority, BUT we cannot neglect the words of God without neglecting God. A first love people loves what God says and stands by what He says even at great cost to themselves.
The Bible speaks of Enoch in the Bible who was known for walking with God for 300 years. What does it look like to walk with God? How can we be like Enoch? Learn more as Pastor Rebekah shows us how we can make Christ our First Love through these truths.

2 Corinthians 11:24-30
"Five times I received from the Jews thirty-nine lashes. Three times I was beaten with rods, once I was stoned, three times I was shipwrecked, a night and a day I have spent in the deep. I have been on frequent journeys, in dangers from rivers, dangers from robbers, dangers from my countrymen, dangers from the Gentiles, dangers in the city, dangers in the wilderness, dangers on the sea, dangers among false brethren; I have been in labor and hardship, through many sleepless nights, in hunger and thirst, often without food, in cold and exposure. Apart from such external things, there is the daily pressure on me of concern for all the churches. Who is weak without my being weak? Who is led into sin without my intense concern? If I have to boast, I will boast of what pertains to my weakness."
Acts 13:22 "After he had removed him, he raised up David to be their king, concerning whom he also testified and said, 'I have found David the song of Jesse, a man after my heart, who will do all my will.'

David made God his First Love, in fact he is a man who God said was "after His own heart".
Are we relating to Him rightly? Do not relate to Jesus as less than He really is. His is the eternally begotten Son of God. Everything was made through Him. He sustains all things supernaturally and He holds the universe together. His King and Lord.
How do we keep the love of our hearts [God] white hot to the end? Pastor Shane teaches us that a first love will go to places where other people won't go and it is these places that bless the heart of God the most.
